How to make a Whiskey Sour

If you have ever taken a Lemon Drop shot and enjoyed it, you’ll probably like a whiskey sour then. A Whiskey Sour can be made with all different types of whiskey making it very versatile to whoever is making it.

What you need:

  • 1 1/2 oz bourbon (preferred whiskey)
  • 1/2 – 3/4 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 oz lemon juice, fresh squeezed
  • Orange slice (optional garnish)
  • Maraschino cherry (optional garnish)

Once you’ve gathered everything put them into a cocktail shaker with some ice cubes and begin to shake.

Note: The point of the ice cubes are not only to get the drink cold but to also dilute the drink just a bit.

Afterward, pour the drink into an appropriately sized glass over ice. If it is too sour, play with the ingredients until it is to your liking. Enjoy!

What are Whiskey Stones?

Whiskey Stones are small cubes of solid soapstone that will chill your liquor without diluting it. Some differences between stones and ice are that the stones are odorless and tasteless. So, if you don’t like watered down drinks, try some stones to chill your drink.

How to use

1. Refrigerate: Place in freezer (with case) for around 4 hours.

2. How cold do you want it: When you are ready to drink, place the amount of stones of your liking into your glass.

3. Get beverage of choice: Pour into glass, and wait around a minute to cool beverage

4. Enjoy

Cleaning Note: Simply rinse them off and let air dry.
